When this child was brought to us she was emaciated and her skin hung loosely around her bony frame. She tried to open her mouth to cry, but nothing came out -- only a tear streaked down the side of her face. | |

Now eleven years old, this child was diagnosed with polio at the age of 2. A bicycle accident compounded the injuries to his legs. He walks only with the help of a walking stick. A technician, brought to his village by CMF, makes a mold of his foot. The cast will be taken back to a workshop and made into a pair of surgical boots. | |
